The Role

The school seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join its thriving Social Sciences Department from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach Psychology at A Level working with bright motivated pupils who take great pride in their studies.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging academically rigorous lessons that promote independent thinking and curiosity.
  • Inspire pupils to explore key psychological theories and research methods.
  • Prepare students effectively for public examinations maintaining excellent academic outcomes.
  • Contribute to departmental development and enrichment activities such as clubs lectures or study trips.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school community including pastoral and co-curricular involvement.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).
  • Possess a strong academic background in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrate the ability to inspire confidence enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity in pupils.
  • Have experience teaching A Level Psychology or a clear aptitude for sixth form teaching.
  • Be committed to supporting the schools ethos and contributing to its co-curricular life.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
