Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to high-risk antepartum patients including those with conditions such as preterm labor previa preeclampsia diabetes hypertension PROM twins and substance use disorders. The role involves assisting with procedures managing medications and providing support to patients experiencing fetal demise or loss as well as postpartum mothers with babies in the NICU.
Location:Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Assist with sterile speculum exams.
- Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC).
- Administer anticoagulants insulin drips and magnesium sulfate therapy.
- Circulate for C-sections.
- Provide care for patients with PCA pumps and syringe pumps.
- Monitor and manage patients with high-risk antepartum conditions.
- Support patients experiencing fetal demise or loss.
- Provide care for postpartum mothers with babies in the NICU.
- Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy.
- Document patient care and related duties.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- AWHONN Advanced certification.
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification.
- Experience with C-sections.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ACLS certification.
Special Considerations:
- Float required to Postpartum unit.
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable but scrubs are provided when floating to the L&D units.
- Care of fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum postpartum mother with baby in NICU no newborns on this unit.
