Job Overview/Summary:
The Veterinarian Medical Director will lead and oversee clinical operations ensuring the highest standards of medical excellence patient care and client satisfaction. This role combines hands-on clinical responsibilities with leadership duties offering a balance of medical autonomy and administrative influence. The ideal candidate is a skilled and compassionate veterinarian with strong leadership abilities excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring veterinary teams.
Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to patients.

Supervise and mentor associate veterinarians veterinary technicians and support staff.

Oversee clinical operations and ensure adherence to medical protocols and quality standards.

Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency and client service.

Foster a positive team-oriented work culture that promotes collaboration and professional growth.

Maintain accurate medical records and uphold compliance with state and federal regulations.

Participate in business strategy discussions and future growth planning.
Primary Skills:

Strong clinical and surgical expertise in general veterinary medicine.

Excellent diagnostic and decision-making abilities.

Proven leadership and team management experience.

Strong communication and client relationship-building skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience mentoring veterinarians and veterinary staff.

Interest in practice management and business development.

Familiarity with advanced surgical procedures or specialty medicine.
Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.

Active veterinary license in good standing.

Current DEA license and USDA Accreditation.

Strong leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
