Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: Full-time coverage required

Phone Consults: As needed

Case Mix: Solid tumor oncology and hematology

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Hospital: 590

EMR System: Epic

Specialty Backup Available: Full-time APP support

Support Staff Available: Full-time advanced practice provider and clinical team

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage (vacancy)

Orientation: 4 hours non-billable

Observed Holidays: Facility recognized holidays

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 90 days with active license 120 days if new license required

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Standard hematology and oncology procedures including evaluation and management of solid tumor cases

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Minnesota license or IMLC accepted (willing to license)

Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required)

DEA: Active DEA (required)

Certifications: BLS (required)

Experience: Prior outpatient hematology/oncology experience preferred

Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic EMR; ability to function in float pool coverage model

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to outpatient population

Evaluate diagnose and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions

Collaborate closely with APPs and multidisciplinary team

Participate in treatment planning and follow-up care coordination

Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
