Job Summary
Prismecs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technical Advisor or Supervisor with direct exposure to GE LM6000 gas turbine systems to perform a one-day site survey in Houston Texas.
Scope of Work
Conduct on-site assessment of turbine and generator roof skid areas (not full plant).
Evaluate corrosion paint damage and identify areas needing metal patch repair or surface prep.
Estimate labor materials and note any stainless-steel surfaces requiring pickling/passivation.
Provide a technical report with photos findings and recommendations.
Review safety and site access requirements (scaffolding manlift PPE utilities).
Deliverables
Written condition report with photos
Summary of required materials equipment and estimated labor
Confirmation of EHS considerations and site logistics
Site Details
Working hours: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM (flexible if needed)
PPE required: Hard hat steel-toe boots hi-vis vest safety glasses
Utilities available onsite (power water compressed air)
Paint to be sourced locally per GE specifications
Requirements
Hands-on experience with GE LM6000 turbine systems
5 years in mechanical supervision site inspection or turbine maintenance
Ability to independently prepare site survey reports
