About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Houston TX. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about cardiac surgery and committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative high-performing environment.
Schedule
Only work 4 days a week
Monday 6:45am7:45pm
TuesdayThursday 6:45am4:15pm
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource specialist for an assigned operating room area/specialty service
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques for elective and emergency cardiac procedures
- Ensure all supplies instruments and equipment are available and functioning prior to procedures
- Deliver safe efficient and compassionate care to all patients adhering to policies and standards
- Promote professional growth through continuing education mentoring and supporting department goals
- Act as a preceptor and resource for new and less experienced staff
- Foster a culture of personalized and efficient patient and colleague experiences
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
- Current CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- At least 1 year of cardiovascular (open heart) surgical experience preferred
- New graduates and experienced surgical technologists encouraged to apply (Surg. Tech I II III levels considered)
