Job Summary
Special Education Teacher 6th Grade Resource Room
Our Organization is looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to support 6th-grade students in a resource room environment. This position blends push-in and pull-out services offering both classroom collaboration and individualized instruction to meet each students needs.
Youll manage a caseload of about 17 students focusing on academic growth social-emotional development and goal progress aligned with IEPs. Collaboration is keyyoull partner with general education teachers support staff and families to ensure every learner has the tools to succeed.
Requirements
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred.
- Strong skills in collaboration organization and differentiation.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation best practices.
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university is required. A masters degree is a plus.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement required.
