This role supports Middle school and high school students in a self-contained program focused on social-emotional learning and behavior regulation. Youll implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) provide direct instruction in academics and emotional regulation and collaborate with staff and families to ensure student success.
Position Responsibilities:
- Implement IEPs accommodations and specialized instruction.
- Participate in IEP meetings team meetings and school-based initiatives.
- Support student growth with evidence-based practices and interventions.
- Provide instruction in a welcoming safe and meaningful environment for students.
- Collaborate with the Special Education team related service providers and families.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field along with a valid Minnesota teaching license in a Special Education area. Successful applicants will have experience teaching school-aged children and adolescents with disabilities and demonstrate strong communication collaboration and classroom management skills.
