We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Technician to join our healthcare team in Grand Prairie United States. As a Physical Therapist Technician you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and contributing to the rehabilitation and recovery of our patients.
- Assist physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and treatment plans
- Prepare treatment areas and set up therapy equipment for patient sessions
- Administer hot and cold packs and other modalities as directed by the physical therapist
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and monitor their progress
- Maintain a clean organized and safe clinic environment
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of therapy equipment
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey
- Accurately document patient information and treatment details in electronic health records
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications :
- Current enrollment in a physical or occupational therapy curriculum program preferred
- Strong work ethic and a responsible attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Genuine interest in helping people and a caring empathetic nature
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of basic physical therapy techniques and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to safety protocols
- Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
- Basic computer skills for accurate record-keeping and documentation
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic healthcare environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Working towards obtaining a college degree (preferred)
