Schedule: Franklin Street location hourly position with varied shifts weekends one holiday per year & call located at Main Campus no travel.

Inpatient outpatient and emergency procedures. Ultrasound guidance biopsies of the breast and thyroid paracentesis thoracentesis/gynecological procedures and vascular ultrasound.

How youll contribute

An Ultrasound Technician Hourlywho excels in this role:

• Positions transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required.

• Performs diagnostic abdominal and pelvic ultrasound studies.

• Performs diagnostic vascular (carotid and extremity venous) ultrasound studies

• Performs diagnostic obstetric ultrasound studies

• Maintains records and statistics of ultrasound studies.

• Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific needs to patients of all ages (neonates infants children adolescents adults and geriatrics).

• Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions.

• Assists physician during invasive ultrasonographic procedures.

• Participates in peer competencies.

• Provides On Call coverage as needed.

What were looking for
Applicants should be a graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology. Additional requirements include:

• Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification.

• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.
