The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida Tampa is seeking candidates for an appointment to a nine-month full-time non-tenure-earning position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction effective August 7 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach beginning intermediate and advanced level undergraduate German language and culture courses.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- PhD degree from an accredited institution in German Studies or related field. Must meet university criteria for appointments to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
- Advanced German language skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least two years of experience teaching German language and culture at the university level.
- Experience teaching asynchronous online German courses
- Experience in organizing and conducting study abroad programs co-curricular activities and community outreach.
