Blast Operator

Summary This job entails working in a fast-paced production environment. Main tasks include operation of blast equipment cleaning deburring and protecting parts for blast/paint/shipping as well as operation of forklifts and overhead cranes. Training may partially be on 1st shift. The incumbent will eventually work on3rd shift. Responsibilities Employee is responsible for operation of blast equipment to blast parts clean for NDE inspection and for surface preparation for paint application. Blast operators are also responsible for cleaning deburring and protecting parts for blast/paint according to engineering drawings. Other responsibilities include but not limited to operation of forklifts and overhead cranes (up to 15 Tons) prepping parts for shipment and maintaining general cleanliness of work areas.
