Senior Security Architect - AI cybersecurity control - focus on AI/ML systems.

Reporting to the AI Security Advisor the AI Security Architect will serve as the representative of cyber security for designing and implementing security controls on AI/ML systems across the enterprise. This role blends deep cybersecurity expertise with a strong understanding of AI development lifecycles to ensure the AI/ML systems are secure compliant and resilient. The architect will work cross-functionally with engineering data science legal and governance teams to embed security into every phase of AI solution development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve security architecture principles for AI/ML systems including GenAI and agentic AI applications.
• Designing the security controls for AI/ML systems inline with the Cyber Security standards.
• Assess the effective implementation of the security controls on AI/ML systems end to end.
• Conduct AI-specific threat modeling (e.g. MAESTRO) and risk assessments across AI assets.
• Identify and provide solutions to mitigate risks such as model inversion data poisoning prompt injection and adversarial attacks.
• Lead red teaming and penetration testing efforts for AI systems.
• Collaborate with legal privacy and procurement teams to ensure AI systems meet internal and external compliance standards (e.g. NIST AI RMF ISO/IEC 42001)
• Provide guidance and training to engineering and data science teams on secure AI development practices.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in cybersecurity controls ideally with a focus on AI/ML systems.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML development workflows including MLOps model lifecycle and data governance.
• Familiarity with AI-specific threats and mitigations (e.g. OWASP Top 10 for LLMs adversarial ML).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native AI platforms (Azure ML AWS SageMaker GCP Vertex AI).
• Certifications such as CISSP CCSP OSCP or equivalent are desirable but not required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management collaboration adaptability and a growth mindset skill.
