Job Summary

Overview

We are seeking a field service high voltage electrician for the Lower Mainland BC area.

Here are some skills and attributes required:

Safety

Able to look at a single line identify the equipment you will be working on isolate it and lock out all the sources that could potentially kill you or a fellow worker.

Experience

-Able to independently perform all testing to whatever piece of equipment you are working on. This should apply to 90% of the everyday equipment seen including transformers HV/MV/LV circuit breakers disconnects/loadbreaks VLF cables CTs PTs relays.

-Must be able to test a 600V circuit breaker 100% through. Not everything except the relay... 100%

-Able to test a distribution transformer and auxiliary devices

Communication

-Ability to write your own technical reports after job completion and communicate clearly in verbal and written English

Availability

Must be available for work during off hours

Offer

Best compensation in the market for high voltage electrical technicians. Union role earnings anywhere from 180-220k per year for an individual with the correct experience and fit.

Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Requirements

-Able to perform duties outlined under experience

-Demonstrated experience as high voltage electrical technician

-Available for varying work hours and out of town travel in the region

-Electrical Technologist Degree an asset

-Red Seal Electrician an asset

-Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada

-Fluent in verbal and written English
