DescriptionGarland Hall is comprised of 4 departments including Anthropology Climate Studies Medicine Health &
Society and Sociology. Garland Hall has over 70 full-time faculty members that teach an array of
courses and work extensively on research projects. The Departments host multiple undergraduate
events several lectures with prestigious guests through the academic year as well as various workshops
and seminars
Key Functions and Expected Performance:
Data Collection and Analysis:Assist in the identification and review of case narratives to systematically identify and document case characteristics using specified data collection instruments and processes. 90%
Lab Coordination Tasks:Participate in weekly lab meetings to assure consistent processes across Research Associates and other members of the data collection team. 5%
Other duties as requested may include assisting with training and quality assurance data cleaning manuscript drafting or research dissemination. 5%
Supervisory Relationships:
The position does not have supervisory responsibilities. The position reports administratively to the department Administrative Manager and functionally to the PI.
Education and Certifications:
- An undergraduate degree in public health or a related field preferred or equivalent research experience.
- Extensive experience in conducting content review for qualitative and quantitative research studies.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Teams required; familiarity with statistical software (e.g. Stata R or similar) and qualitative analysis software useful but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
Experience and Skills:
- Extensive experience in conducting content review for qualitative and quantitative research studies.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Teams required; familiarity with statistical software (e.g. Stata R or similar) and qualitative analysis software useful but not required.
