As a Staff Engineer at Stryker Neurovascular youll provide technical leadership and drive innovation in the development of life-saving technologies that address critical neurovascular this pivotal role youll lead validation activities for new extrusion process introductions shaping the future of catheter design and manufacturing.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to support new product and process introductions with a focus on Extrusion
- Write and execute process validation protocols and reports for new product introductions and re-validations due to process /material improvements utilizing scientific / technical knowledge.
- Provide Technical leadership from an engineering perspective.
- Select tooling components and equipment
- Develop extrusion specific testing and inspection protocols
- Complete capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment right through to validation
- Participate in PFMEA Control Plan SOP and PPAP generation
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills
- Polymer or Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent technical experience is required.
- Demonstrable strong analytical & problem solving skills a process improvement orientation and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive dynamic and results motivated environment
- Capable of providing technical leadership and influencing and providing technical direction to Engineers Technicians and Operators as required.
- Excellent presentation and written / verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable ability to work autonomously
- A team player with a flexible approach
- Technological expert willing to source investigate and implement technological and automation advances
- Confident and effective decision maker with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others
- Excellent teamwork communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of plastic materials and extrusion processing
- Experience of Design for Manufacturing capability studies verification and validation
What you need:
- Minimum 3 years medical device design/manufacturing and/or polymer/extrusion/molding experience.
