The BNSF Railway Finance Department provides innovative strategic solutions and world-class financial services to support BNSFs overall performance. The department is committed to maintaining integrity and recognizing the companys successes ensuring that BNSF remains a leader in the railway industry. Within the Finance Department several specialized departments contribute to its overall mission: Controller Revenue Management Strategic Sourcing Tax Treasury and Strategic Studies. Each department is vital in managing BNSFs financial health and strategic financial planning. These departments work collaboratively to secure BNSFs economic stability and support its growth and innovation within the railway industry.

This is a full-timeposition located in Fort Worth TX. For certain positions including this one employees can work one day per week remotely. Our leaders also foster a culture where work life balance which requires flexibility for when life happens is important and respected.

Travel is minimal less than 10%.

Salary Range:

3 years of experience: $87700-$110000

4 years of experience: $101900-$130000

These ranges reflect what BNSF Railway reasonably expects to pay for this position based on the roles level scope and responsibilities. Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills experience and relevant education or addition to base pay and bonus eligibility BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities may include:

This position will have budgeting forecasting and planning responsibility for areas supporting the bnsf tech organization with a strong focus on Business Partnering and creating value.

Build and support the financials for the tech organization and support leaders at various levels.
Developprocesses models and reports to accurately monitor and forecast expenses.
Performbalance sheet accruals month-end close process analysis support metric reporting and other projects relative to informational needs of business partners utilizing various tools.
Lead/facilitatebudget reviews and forecasts with business partners.
Assistin the preparation and review of the annual plan including participating in the development and tracking of strategic initiatives
Identify and implementnew ways of approaching forecast and IT processes
Partnerwith stakeholders to identify and achieve cost saving opportunities
Daily workis conducted in an indoor office environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Able to work now and in the future without BNSFs assistance (whether monetary through sponsorship or otherwise) in obtaining maintaining or extending employment authorization (including H-1B STEM OPT/CPT or TN nonimmigrant status).

• Bachelors Degree in related discipline (accounting or finance preferred)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance/accounting or comparable industry

• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge/influence business partners with expense leverage concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degreein related discipline (accounting or finance preferred)
• At least 4 years of work experience in budgets and/or forecasting or comparable industry experience
• Advanced Excel skills and/or SQL experience
• Good understanding of BNSFs responsibility income statement and forecast process
• Working knowledge of financial statementsand accrual basis accounting
• Holds applicable professional certifications
