Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period all applicants will be considered equally.
Primary: 8:00am-4:30pm; Secondary: 8:15am-4:45pm
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant Float works under the general supervision of the Director of Practice Operations and clinical supervision of the physician advanced practice provider or licensed nursing staff to deliver excellent patient care. Job duties include basic clinical tasks working with patients and assisting the other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high quality care to the patient. The Medical Assistant Float performs such duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate or GED required.
2. Ability to read write and comprehend medical terminology.
evious experience as a Medical Assistant or Graduate of Allied Health or similar program required.
4. Knowledge of medical practice management and/or electronic medical records systems required.
5. Previous experience or education in a clinical support role required.
6. Willingness to use positive communication skill while performing job duties.
7. Ability to perform detailed assignments work under pressure and relate to patients providers as well as other clinical and office staff required.
8. Basic computer knowledge required.
9. Willingness to attend and complete CVPH education requirements satisfactorily required.
10. Ability to work independently handle interruptions take direction and prioritize required
