ABOUT THE ROLE:

Store Operative is responsible for safely storing and issuing materials where and when needed.

Key tasks of the role include but are not limited to:

Safely storing and issuing materials where and when needed using equipment safely and complying with safe working practices

Carrying out stock movements as instructed in conjunction with company systems to ensure stock accuracy

Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping within the store and area and ensuring that company standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained

Carrying out daily safety checks to any equipment used in the area and fill in forklift check sheets

Assisting in stock counting duties as required

Relieving on other roles if required

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of working in a warehouse environment coupled with excellent attention to detail and the ability to use your own initiative.

Reporting into the Dry Store Supervisor youll also have

Forklift reach truck and PPT qualifications

Good numeracy and literacy skills

PC literacy

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK

The shift pattern is 2 days 7am-7pm 1 day off 2 nights 7pm-7am followed by 3 days off.

WHERE WILL I WORK

Youll be based at our Scarborough plant in North Yorkshire. We opened this plant back in the swinging sixties but its definitely not stuck in the past. Its one of the largest French fry factories in the world and after a recent development its also one of the most high tech. Our team of over 300 colleagues work hard to make sure the quality of our products keep our customers returning for more for now and years to come!
