Job Summary:
The Cath Lab RN provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures in a 5-room unit with an average daily census of 25. Responsibilities include circulating procedures diagnostic catheterizations and monitoring procedural sedation. The role requires on-call availability potential floating within scope and weekend work.

Responsibilities:
- Circulate Procedures
- Assist with Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult Left heart catheterization Right heart catheterization)
- Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias
- Monitoring Procedural Sedation
- Medication Administration
- Patient assessment and monitoring during procedures
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Documentation in Cerner
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in IL
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience
- Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
- Experience with Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias
- Experience with Circulate Procedures Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult Left heart catheterization Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring Right heart catheterization
- Cerner experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- None specified
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to work 2-3 weekends per contract
- On-call required as needed
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs
- Level I trauma center
- Magnet hospital/facility
Scheduling:
- 3x12 Days (0630-1900)
- Discuss schedule requests with manager
- Open to accommodating block schedule
- Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours
