Db2 Healthcheck Senior Technical Consultant

About the client:
Our client is a major enterprise committed to optimising mission-critical database environments. This role is key to ensuring the health performance and reliability of high-volume Db2 systems.

About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to deliver a comprehensive healthcheck on a high-transactional Db2 v11.5 environment (HACMP on AIX). Youll diagnose performance issues recommend improvements and collaborate with application specialists to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a full healthcheck on a production Db2 instance with multiple databases.
Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks and table reorganisation needs.
Collaborate with WebSphere and Java application experts to diagnose and address system issues.
Deliver actionable recommendations to enhance database performance and reliability.

Required Experience:
Minimum 10 years hands-on experience with IBM Db2.
Proven track record in producing and executing Db2 healthchecks in enterprise environments.

Desirable Skills:
Experience with HACMP on AIX.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-transactional settings.
Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
