The Vice President of Automation Engineering Ambient Operations will lead Walmarts large-scale automation strategy for the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) network driving transformation through cutting-edge dense automated case storage and retrieval technology. This role delivers automation solutions that enhance service capacity and cost efficiency across ambient operations enabling the future of omnichannel fulfillment at scale. The Ambient Automation & Engineering team drives the evolution of Walmarts RDC network by designing and deploying next-generation automation systems that power ambient product distribution. By combining Robotics machine learning and automated storage and retrieval systems. The team ensures Walmart can flexibly and efficiently move products from suppliers to stores and homes - supporting the companys mission to save customers time and money.
What youll do...
What youll do- Lead strategy design and deployment of automation solutions across the Regional Ambient DC network.
- Oversee significant capital to simplify work build capacity and better experience.
- Develop upstream capacity in import and consolidation centers to strengthen the end-to-end supply chain.
- Partner across product technology supply chain finance and operations to align on automation strategy and execution.
- Build talent capabilities and drive change management to support long-term network transformation.

The annual salary range for this position is $350000.00 - $550000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
