Scope of Position:

As an Associate Controls Engineer you will be crucial to ALCs business through the designing of buildingautomation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone whoworks well in a team and has excellent problem-solving time management and multi-tasking skills. Youwill work to build new skills and advance existing skills while completing smaller projects on your own.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Design and program building automation systems site-specific configuration of control system
  and control algorithms.
• Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design programming
  and implementation.
• Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
• Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
• Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
• Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation.
• Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers needs are met.
• Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.
• Support functional testing for building systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree with internship experience in Building Automation and/or HVAC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline.
• Experience in HVAC controls Building Automation or related industry.
• Basic knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated
  engineering tools Automated Logic suites preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Automated Logic software peripherals add-ons services or hardware
  design.
• Understanding and/or experience with IP networks
• Understanding and/or experience with Microsoft Visio and/or similar software.
• Ability to understand written sequences of operations diagrammatic depictions of systems.
• Familiar with third-party communication protocols used in building automation such as BACnet
  Modbus SNMP LON N2 etc.
• Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable
  of lifting items up to 50lbs.
