What you will do:

• Strivesto meet customer expectations with each interaction.
• Receives customer product orders by phone and email.
• Solicits sale of new or additional products by phone and email.
• Practices good interpersonal relations using tact courtesy a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers pleasant telephone etiquette and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company.
• Liaison between the customer and OneSource departments including credit purchasing warehouse outside sales and management.
• Determines make type and quality of merchandise desired by being familiar with products sold in the department by use vendor location in warehouse catalog and catalog number other reference materials and special selling points.
• Identifies and uses appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.
• Describes or demonstrates product using samples or catalog and emphasizes salable features.
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
• Provides oral and written quotations or estimates of prices terms and delivery for standard complex or non-standard merchandise.
• Prepares cash or charge sales tickets with required identification necessary information for the customer merchandise price and sales tax status for processing shipment and delivery of merchandise in a timely manner. Follows up with any specific record-keeping requirements.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of own firms delivery schedules.
• Purchases materials following approved purchasing procedures.
• Reviews complaints concerning billing or products sold referring complaints to designated departments for investigation and resolution.
• Prepares correspondence and reports necessary for business transactions.
• Recognize when special pricing is required and provide competitive pricing.
• Follow up on all quotations to write the order or receive input for use in future quotations.
• Acquires uses and continuously develops personal technical knowledge of general and specialty merchandise items to assist customers and other company personnel.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

What you will bring:

• Associates degree (A. A.) and two to four years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Electrical Contractor and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Ability to run and maintain projects.
• Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals and technical procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers clients customers and the public.
• Ability to perform math functions representative of the job such as; addition subtraction multiplication and division in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions decimals and metric scales; computing rate ratio and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions and proportions.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Required to sit speak hear read type use close and distance vision (about 5-8 hours per shift).
• This position works in a normal office environment as well as a warehouse environment with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise dust etc. while working in the office. The noise level in the warehouse environment is usually moderate and temperature can change based on the season.
• Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 15% of the time.

Work hours: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM

Salary Range:

• This is a non-exempt position and pays between $27.74 $37.00 per hour.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
