SUMMARY:

  • Drive quality projects and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers regulatory bodies and government agencies for audits and quality issues.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Manual internal work instructions and procedures; audit and approve subcontractors.
  • Review job status customer specifications and recommend technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Production Control Engineering and customers on alloy casting design and tooling topics.
  • Manage staff responsible for quality planning raw material release and final product certification.
  • Oversee Level III NDT Examiner for personnel qualification special process certifications and audits.
  • Serve as Management Representative for ISO-9001 & AS9100 compliance.
  • Stay current with industry advancements through technical literature review.
  • Provide leadership guidance and performance oversight to quality teams while maintaining discipline and professionalism.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and maintain a clean safe work environment.
  • Participate in training health evaluations and safety programs.
  • Wear required PPE in designated areas and report any work-related injuries immediately.
  • Perform physical functions of the role including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work overtime as needed and meet attendance standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in science or engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technical or operations roles ideally in casting and aerospace manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical resources and interact with customers engineering and operations on complex issues.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk twist turn talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit kneel stoop bend and use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
