SUMMARY:
- Drive quality projects and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Act as the primary liaison with customers regulatory bodies and government agencies for audits and quality issues.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Manual internal work instructions and procedures; audit and approve subcontractors.
- Review job status customer specifications and recommend technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Production Control Engineering and customers on alloy casting design and tooling topics.
- Manage staff responsible for quality planning raw material release and final product certification.
- Oversee Level III NDT Examiner for personnel qualification special process certifications and audits.
- Serve as Management Representative for ISO-9001 & AS9100 compliance.
- Stay current with industry advancements through technical literature review.
- Provide leadership guidance and performance oversight to quality teams while maintaining discipline and professionalism.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and maintain a clean safe work environment.
- Participate in training health evaluations and safety programs.
- Wear required PPE in designated areas and report any work-related injuries immediately.
- Perform physical functions of the role including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work overtime as needed and meet attendance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in science or engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technical or operations roles ideally in casting and aerospace manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical resources and interact with customers engineering and operations on complex issues.
- Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk twist turn talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit kneel stoop bend and use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
