CANDIDATE PROFILE
Latino Network seeks a bilingual mission-driven and service-minded professional with bicultural familiarity and proven nonprofit and community resource navigation experience.
As part of the Economic Justice Department energy programs at Latino Network the candidate will collaborate with staff community and other stakeholders to achieve program goals meet and document measurable outcomes contribute to a collegial and productive work environment and promote the organizations vision and mission prioritizing the teams well-being and fostering a culture of collaboration harmony and joy.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify eligibility of clients based on source funding guidelines.
- Maintain a detailed case file for each client on the platforms assigned.
- Use assertive engagement and a trauma-informed approach to help clients access energy assistance and other supportive services.
- Provide follow-up services and referrals to clients to help ensure their continued stability.
- Collaborate closely with other departments within Latino Network as well as with service providers and partner organizations.
- Receive referrals from Community Appointments and the energy email.
- Data entry into Multnomah County and Latino Network appointment software.
- Adheres to deadlines established by the program manager and partners to ensure that client services are provided in a timely manner.
- Properly document and submit all program expenditures on time.
- Regularly travel to off-site locations to provide outreach and services to clients in the community.
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding all information related to the families served by the program.
- Maintain Google Calendar updated with weekly intake appointments.
- Attend all required team meetings staff meetings and trainings.
- Assisting in outreach efforts for the Home Repair Program to connect families with home safety and repair resources.
- Supporting educational activities and community workshops related to home maintenance energy efficiency and healthy living environments.
- Collaborating with contractors vendors and community partners to ensure smooth coordination of repairs and services.
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Two years of relevant experience in case management or energy assistance or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in other comparable fast-paced service delivery environments.
- Experience working with low-income families and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with people and communities from diverse races ethnicities cultures abilities faiths gender identity and sexuality and economic backgrounds.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and complete program objectives in a timely manner.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities.
- Working knowledge of and the ability to apply an understanding and appreciation for family dynamics gender issues cultural diversity and individual differences.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the effects of vicarious traumatization and compassion fatigue is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of and the ability to navigate social services and government agencies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English (including public speaking).
- Knowledge of culturally based worldview adaptive reasoning and problem-solving practices of Latino individuals and families.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Computer proficiency: Knowledge of essential software such as Microsoft Office suite Google Calendar Docs Excel etc. Knowledge of OPUS and Community Appointments software is a plus.
- Experience working with contractors vendors or service providers in a community-based setting is a plus.

- While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to use hands.
- Involves long periods of sitting typing and screen time.
- Employees will work both in the community and in the office as needed. This includes working in client homes schools churches parks community centers and other locations.
- May require substantial lifting and moving of boxes and items as needed (twisting bending reaching and carrying items up to 20lbs) while strategically considering how to properly move heavier items.
- Evening and weekend availability may be required at times and work hours are flexible to accommodate program implementation. Hours can be long during peak periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Latino Network is a fast-paced highly engaged work environment with satellite operations with positions performing work both onsite and remotely. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
