Title:Washer Set-Up and Run

Location: South Minneapolis MN

Position Summary:

We are seeking someone to fill our Washer Set-Up and Run position. An ideal candidate will have had previous machine operating experience and will have worked in a metal stamping environment. This role will be responsible for setting up and operating various presses throughout the shop.

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and operate punch presses and support equipment.
  • Perform operations such as blanking bending punching and forming based on blueprints and other instructions.
  • Read and understand blueprints routing sheets and/or work instructions to determine specifications.
  • Measure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain production efficiencies of 80% of greater once trained.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Understand tolerances such as /- .005.
  • Read understand and follow all policies processes and procedures.
  • Strong command of the English language including verbal and written communications.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the metal stamping industry.
  • One (1) year of manufacturing experience.



Education:

  • High School or equivalent (Preferred).

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

There are two shifts; 1st shift if 7:00 am to 3:30 pm 2nd shift is 3:30 pm to midnight. Training is completed on 1st shift and individual may go to 2nd shift after training. Union employees scheduled on 2nd shift receive shift differential of $1.00 per hour. Union employees must work overtime according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Employees can work overtime during the weekdays and/or on Saturday if needed
