Commis III

We are seeking talented and passionate Commis I/II to join our culinary team in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. As a vital member of our kitchen brigade you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients including washing peeling chopping and portioning
• Follow recipes and cooking instructions precisely to ensure consistent quality
• Prepare and present dishes according to established standards
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work station
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Support senior chefs in menu development and special projects
• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs

Qualifications :

• Equivalent qualification in culinary arts or related field
• 0-2 years of kitchen experience
• Proficiency in various culinary techniques and cooking methods
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
• Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Basic math skills for recipe conversions and inventory management
• Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
