Quality Junior Engineer

Job Description:

An opportunity for an Quality Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the UAS Platforms Engineering Quality Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensuring/monitoring the process implementation and the relevant performance characteristics (KPI).

- Monitoring and ensuring specification-compliant development in compliance with the relevant engineering processes.

- Analysis of trends and definition of necessary corrective and preventive measures (APQP DFMEA Quality Gates e.g.).

- Selection development implementation and support of quality and improvement methods as well as tools according to the valid specifications at Airbus Defense and Space.

- Support definition and implementation of external and internal quality standards.

- Provision of standards guidelines (policies) and processes which are compatible with valid external standards and internal rules.

- Arrangement implementation and evaluation of product-related audits.

- Monitoring the performance and effectiveness of quality activities of internal and external customers as well as supporting the necessary corrective measures.

- Selection implementation and supervision of quality methods and tools.

- Support in the implementation of new quality approaches and development specifications.

- In new product / process / service development you will ensure that operational processes lessons learnt and risk analysis are done early and that relevant preventive quality standards are used in order to mitigate the risks and that a rigorous Development Plan (multi- functional reviews maturity gates ...) is followed.

- You will provide the evidence of conformity to processes and requirements to Programme Quality Assurance to ensure the satisfaction of customer requirements.

SKILLS

- Degree in engineering or with a focus on aerospace or comparable.

- Experience in quality management or comparable.

- Knowledge of the aeronautic/space/defence industry would be an advantage.

- Negotiation and assertiveness.

- Good communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders.

- Fluent Spanish and business fluent English skills.
