We are inviting applications from self-employed auditors to join our dynamic team across various seafood schemes. This is a flexible opportunity designed to accommodate a wide range of professional backgrounds and availability. Whilst recruiting through Edinburgh our Global Seafood Office we are looking for team globally.

If youre passionate about auditing and want to contribute to meaningful change in the seafood sector wed love to hear from you. The nature and volume of work will vary depending on scheme needs and your individual experience expertise and availability.

Whether youre an experienced auditor in seafood certification or looking to expand your auditing portfolio we welcome your application.

Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements:

Required:

  • A good level of spoken and written English.
  • At least two years relevant experience. Those with farm experience will be considered for farm audits while those with processing experience may be assigned to processing plant audits and so onensuring alignment between expertise and audit type.

Desirable:

  • Prior auditing experience in a relevant field (e.g. aquaculture supply chain animal welfare food safety or environmental compliance).
  • Lead Auditor/Assessor qualification (e.g. ISO 22000 etc.).
  • Qualified to audit in a relevant scheme(s) such as MSC ASC GLOBALG.A.P. GSA BAP and SPS etc.
  • A post-high school diploma or equivalent (course duration 2 years) in a relevant discipline.
  • Other relevant training such as in HACCP principles social auditing or fish welfare.
  • More than 2 years relevant experience.
  • Second or subsequent languages (other than English).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attain and maintain competence to audit in relevant certification scheme(s).
  • Plan carry out and document as appropriate assigned seafood audits or related tasks to a high standard and within KPIs.
