General Responsibilities
Under the direction of The Director of College and Career Pathways & Partnership and in consultation with the Director of Information Technology The Regional Data Intermediary Lead plays a key role in supporting partners use of data to improve high school to postsecondary outcomes. This position focuses on developing visualizations from partner data sets interpreting operational data from multiple education and workforce systems and providing technical assistance to partners on using these insights for continuous improvement. The Lead will also design and facilitate professional learning focused on data literacy visualization tools and data-informed decision-making to advance regional postsecondary readiness goals.
Salary:
The full compensation range for this position is $96553.60 - $117499.20 annually. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.
Assignment:
This position will be full-time year-round. Ideal candidates will have strong communication facilitation and relationship-building skills as well as a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.The person in this role will support our Horizons Advising and Big Blur Partnerships working to increase postsecondary readiness for all youth in Southwest Washington.The Regional Data Intermediary Lead will assist in providing relevant data in a manner that helps to empower educators regional partners families and communities.

Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
Data Visualization and Reporting:
- Develop clear accessible data visualizations dashboards and reports to communicate trends gaps and opportunities in partner data related to high school to postsecondary transitions.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for educators administrators and community partners.
- Develop and maintain data tools dashboards and resource materials that help partners monitor student progress and postsecondary readiness metrics.
- Assist with data verification cleaning processing and standardization across multiple sources.
- Coordinate survey administration and analysis to gather qualitative insights from partners and students.
Partner Technical Assistance and Professional Learning:
- Facilitate data-informed conversations with partners to interpret findings set goals and develop action plans.
- Assist partners in aligning data use to targeted universalism and continuous improvement practices.
- Coach partners in aligning local data collection management and reporting processes with recognized education data standards (e.g. Ed-Fi CEDS) supporting smooth migration and interoperability across systems.
- Lead develop and advise internal and external partners on selection of data governance protocols.
- Support data-sharing and collaborative use of regional data products including exploration of AI tools in accordance with data privacy and governance protocols.
- Coach partners on the use of visualization software (e.g. Tableau Power BI Excel) and interpretation of metrics tied to postsecondary readiness.
Collaboration Communication and Capacity Building:
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to align data and improvement efforts with regional strategic goals.
- Prepare presentations infographics and communication products for diverse audiences; Contribute to grant reports and storytelling that demonstrate impact through data and outcomes.
- Design and deliver professional learning sessions workshops and toolkits on topics such as data visualization data literacy and decision-making for improvement.
- Develop and maintain resources that promote a culture of data use across the region.
Other Duties:- Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across the P20W system.
- Translate technical data concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education Social Science Data Analytics Public Policy or a related field.
- Two years of experience in data analysis visualization or research preferably in education nonprofit or public sector settings.
- Demonstrated skill in using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Excel) and presentation software.
- Experience interpreting education or workforce data to inform decision-making.
- Experience working with education data systems (e.g. Skyward ERDC CEDARS NSC SERS).
- Familiarity with education data standards (e.g. Ed-Fi CEDS) and demonstrated ability to guide partners in adopting or integrating these standards into their local data systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with postsecondary readiness indicators and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Experience designing or leading professional learning related to data literacy or decision-making.
- Understanding of data governance privacy and equity principles.
- Experience implementing or supporting interoperability frameworks such as Ed-Fi and coaching organizations through data standardization or system integration processes.
Working Conditions/Employment Requirements
Working Conditions:
- Able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment; able to remain stationary at a computer for extended periods of time and move around their assigned workspace.
- Frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 20 pounds.
- Office environment.
- Frequent travel within the ESD112 region and statewide.
Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
