Job Summary

Job Title: Travel RN Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Neptune NJ 07754

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) 12-Hour Shifts 36 Hours per Week

Schedule: Every Other Weekend and 3 of 6 Holidays Required

Floating: May be required to float to similar units as needed

Pay Rate: $2343 Weekly Gross

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care for a 13-week contract at a leading acute care facility. The ideal candidate will have exceptional clinical judgment the ability to multitask in a high-acuity setting and a patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms assess patient conditions and implement care plans accordingly.
Collaborate effectively with physicians nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Administer medications document care and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital standards.
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions or telemetry readings.
Maintain a clean safe and organized patient environment.
Participate in shift handoffs and follow facility protocols and policies.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting within an acute care hospital (required).
Strong clinical background and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure: Active New Jersey RN License or Compact Multistate License (required).
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS AHA)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Telemetry Certification
- 4-Hour CEU in Stroke Care
