AB2534 Compliance - Effective January 1 2025
Effective January 1 2025 and in accordance with California Education Code Section 44939.5 all applicants for certificated positions must disclose a complete list of all Local Education Agencies (LEAs) where they have been previously employed including full-time part-time or substitute roles. LEAs include school districts county offices of education charter schools and state special schools. Failure to provide this information may be considered an act of dishonesty and could affect hiring decisions.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Chemistry teacher to teach one section(33%) at one of our academies for the Spring semester. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in chemistry concepts laboratory safety and scientific inquiry along with a passion for fostering curiosity and critical thinking in the this role you will guide students through hands-on learning experiences problem-solving activities and real-world applications of chemistry. Join us in empowering students to develop scientific literacy collaboration skills and a lifelong interest in STEM.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possession of a valid California Single Subject credentialinChemistry
AND
English Learners Authorization
Required Documents/Attachments
Applications submitted without all of the following required documents will not be accepted:
- Letter of Introduction (Must be current and relative to the position you are applying to)
- Resume
- Credential Copy (Copies of credentials must be currentscreenshot(s) of the credential document details page from the CTC website that shows your name document name status subjects authorizations and expiration date. Certificates will not be accepted.)
- Copy of Transcript (Please include BA/BS transcript along with all post-Bachelors degree transcripts showing degrees awarded. Unofficial copies will be accepted)
- Recommendation Letters (Three current letters dated within the last two years)
Salary$71571to $103136 (To start yearly based on full-time assignment. Part-time assignments will be prorated)
- Pay dependent on experience
- Candidates with two or more years of full-time K-12 public school experience start on step 3. (This is the maximum starting step)
Length of Work Year2025-26 School Year - 186 work days (Spring semester: 97 of 186 days)
Employment Type
Part-time - 33% (Spring only)
Thisposition involves teaching one section of Chemistry (currently scheduled for 4th period; schedule subject to change).
