Throughout your time with Guidon you will be provided with the opportunity for hands-on experience in your area of our dynamic energetic and fast-paced office environment you will work right alongside our company leaders to gain valuable knowledge on complex meaningful and impactful projects.

Job Purpose:
As a Structural engineer intern with Guidon you will be supporting the structural team in the designing drawing drafting and modeling of your associated discipline. During your time with Guidon you will be working the following project types: building renovation/expansions and new multi-story buildings for primarily healthcare new multi-story buildings parking garages healthcare higher education and municipal projects

Qualifications:
  • Currently working towards a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural)
Skills/Qualities:
  • Completed at least 1 design class
  • Experience working in Revit (class is acceptable)
  • Above average attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Concern for the exact correctness of work
  • Strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations
  • A desire to grow professionally and work toward EIT certification & licensure
  • Experience in healthcare related projects a plus
  • Proactive and assertive in problem solving
Responsibilities:
  • Design new construction and renovation projects from concept through construction under the direction of a senior engineer
  • Create and update 3D analytical design model in RAM Structural System work in Revit to create Construction Documents write reports review construction submittals & RFIs and go to project site visits with a senior engineer
  • Detailed engineering work is a major focus
  • Plan focus and complete the tasks on hand
  • Position will be very task oriented requiring individual to be conservative careful and cautious with work
  • Coordination within a multi-disciplinary project team
