Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on an as-needed this role you will assess diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders helping individuals improve their speech language and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech language voice fluency and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide therapy for patients with articulation cognitive-communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on techniques to enhance communication and swallowing function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including occupational and physical therapists physicians and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Stay current with best practices research and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active and valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Missouri.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in speech therapy (preferred but not required).
- Skills: Strong communication problem-solving and patient-care skills.
- Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).
Work Environment
- PRN (as-needed) role with flexible scheduling options.
- Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Ability to work independently and provide high-quality evidence-based care.
