POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking aCivil Engineer IIto support the firms progressive and dynamic civil and environmental engineering team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- Write and edit structural specifications
- Select procedures and materials and their respective sizes
- Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various agencies for code compliance
- Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda RFIs CPRs and change orders and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 3-6 years of post graduate professional experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Structural analysis and design skills.
- Solid professional structural engineering experience related to a variety of projects and industries
- Experience preparing reviewing and approving project drawings specifications schedules and cost estimates.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment strong attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD RevitCivil 3D Staad Pro etc.
DESIRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
- PE/SE registration is highly preferred or the intention to complete registration
