As part of our Perioperative Services youll work in one of the nations largest and most dynamic surgical departments dedicated to advancing surgical care featuring more than 60 state-of-the-art operating suites where more than 41000 surgeries are completed annually. Our team excels in clinical excellence teamwork and innovation managing complex cases with cutting-edge technology including iMRI ORs and a robotics surgery program that is among the largest of its kind in the Southeast with the highest patient volume in the country. Job Description
To be responsible for the daily operations of the OR desk in a manner that promotes efficient flow and patient needs. To collaborate across all surgical specialties to support team specific team leads and specialty needs. To coordinate daily with a multidisciplinary team to prioritize and initiate care for the OR patients. To act as a consultant for sharing knowledge expertise and information. To direct all staff on a particular shift in prioritizing needs to support effective patient care. To train desk ancillary personnel. To ensure that work area staff maintain professional behavior and appropriate phone etiquette. To adjust staffing needs based on surgical volumes and works to reduce labor as appropriate for the shift.
