Position functions as the MYOI (Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative) Coordinator within one or more local MDHHS offices providing assistance and guidance to youth in the foster care system to support the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The position will provide assistance to youth in developing connections and gaining independent and interdependent life skills. The position will provide technical assistance to the foster care staff regarding the development of youths annual transition plan 90 day discharge plan and youth in transition needs. There will be a focus on assisting youth in gaining financial literacy and capability. The position will serve as an independent living professional on the transitional needs of foster youth and will conduct presentations/trainings for MDHHS/PAFC staff as well as community partners. This will be determined by the needs of the geographic area served.

The physical location of this position is 44777 N. Gratiot Clinton Twp. MI 48036. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
