Job Summary

Work Shift:

Night - 12 Hour (United States of America)7p-7a full time

Summary:

Primarily responsible for providing professional nursing care within the assigned unit. Coordinates plan of care with the patient their family and the interdisciplinary team. Ensures appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission vision and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare

& Training:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

:
1. Tier One: One and a half years (18 months) nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting to include six (6) months of ER or ICU experience with orientation to ER or ICU (whichever dept applicant is not experienced in) within 6 months of hire.
2. Tier Two and Tier 3: One and a half years (18 months) nursing experience in an acute care setting to include six (6) months of ER or ICU experience.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. AHA/ARC BLS certification required. AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and AHA/ARC PALS required or obtained within nine (9) months of employment. Completion of CPT within 9 months of hire. Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained within 3 months. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy. Must obtain and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Primary Stroke Center/Acute Stroke Ready Designation Policy.


Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves gown mask etc.
