We are looking to hire Industrial automation engineer who will be responsible for identifying designing planning and executing automation and process improvement and capital projects through multi-functional team collaboration to support safety quality and cost saving initiatives for production in the Oakville facility.

What You Will Do

• Evaluates current state process gaps based on quality safety capacity and cost
• Identify and Research Automation opportunities that will support the business for future growth
• Lead an internal team or vendor through the development design and execution phases of the automation
• Offer technical expertise in design development and execution of project
• Develop detailed project plans and ensure all project task deliverables costs and timelines are delivered according to plan
• Establish the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
• Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and document the manufacturing standard work and routings
• Plan the allocation of resources materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control productivity improvement cost reduction inventory control and production record systems

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in implementing automation projects.
• Experience in machine/equipment installation and commissioning.
• Experience in CAD software system.
• Experience in Project Management and prioritizing projects.
• Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in Aerospace industry
• Experience in Catia and/ or NX.
• PLC Programming and Robotics experience.
• ABB and Fanuc Experience
• Problem solving and Organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications
• Builds strong interpersonal relationships and motivates cross functional teams
• Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications.
