Description: Assemble parts pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read interpret and follow basic blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bills of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment.
- Perform assembly utilizing a variety of hand/power tools including screw drivers wrenches drills hammers tape measures etc.
- Position align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
- Accurately complete job logging through Epicor to account for assembly times
- Operate overhead crane and other lifting mechanisms as necessary to perform the job safely and efficiently
- Verify that parts are free of flaws defects or imperfections and properly write up parts that do not meet specifications
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Able to read and work from drawings schematics and verbal instructions
- Know how to properly use crimpers strippers heat shrink guns drills taps dial calipers and other misc. hand tools
