Job Summary and Responsibilities
What Youll Do
Assist in the admission discharge and transfer process of patients.
Set up tables instruments and supplies required for cesarean sections vaginal deliveries and circumcisions; maintaining sterile technique.
Respond to patient calls anticipate their needs and assure their safety and comfort through regular rounds environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.
Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms.
Assist in the preparation and draping of patient and operative area. Prepare pass and maintain a correct count of instruments sutures sponges and supplies utilized during the operative procedure.
Maintain surgical instruments by ensuring proper washing packaging sterilization and storage.
Job Requirements
BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
CNA or Surgical Technologist certification required
Experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred
