Position Summary
Indiana University Bloomington the flagship campus of Indiana University and a leading research-intensive institution is accepting applications for an outstanding colleague as an Associate or Full Professor within its nationally recognized Higher Education & Student Affairs ( HESA ) program. This will be a full-time 10-month appointment in the School of Educations Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Rank will be determined by ones qualifications and experience with an anticipated start date of 08/1/2026. The successful candidate will contribute to the top-ranked programs graduate educational activities and complement the strengths of the HESA program and its associated School of Education research center the Center for Postsecondary Research ( CPR ). Key responsibilities of the position include: Conducting high-quality research and disseminating it in peer-reviewed journals and other well-regarded outlets; Maintaining a program of quantitative research and obtaining external funds to support that work; Mentoring and advising masters and doctoral students including leading and serving on doctoral dissertation committees particularly with students conducting quantitative and mixed methods studies; Building on an existing record of graduate teaching; Working to ensure equitable program experiences and outcomes underrepresented groups in higher education; Participating in program department university and professional service activities. Program Information The Higher Education and Student Affairs Program at Indiana University Bloomington is a top-ranked program according to U.S. News and World Report. The program serves undergraduate and graduate students through its undergraduate major masters specialist doctoral and professional certificate programs. Program faculty support the Center for Postsecondary Research ( CPR ) which houses several large research projects such as the National Survey of Student Engagement ( NSSE ) Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement ( BCSSE ) and Faculty Survey of Student Engagement ( FSSE ).
