Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and rehabilitation of bridge and transportation structure projects.
- Manage project budgets schedules and scopes while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee the preparation of contract bid documents and coordinate construction-phase services.
- Supervise and mentor design engineers and drafting personnel.
- Collaborate with subconsultants and serve as a technical advisor on structural design matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Maryland.
- 10-15 years of experience in structural design including bridge or horizontal structure projects.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design standards.
- Experience working with the Maryland Department of Transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and structural design software.
- Deep understanding of structural design principles for steel reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete components.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years leading design engineers and drafting teams.
