Essential Job Functions

  • Plans organizes and implements major departmental educational and social events to encourage student involvement and engagement
  • Manages and facilitates department events campuswide
  • Acts as the liaison with other departments for campuswide and departmental events through providing support and resources as needed
  • Assesses and evaluates the departments programming activities and services and develops strategic plans for improvement
  • Creates and implements various training programs to assist student organization leaders in their professional development
  • Assess oversee and mitigate risk for department events occurring throughout the year
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
  • Supervises and develops the department staff facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities department goals and established university campus and department policies and procedures
  • Supervises and manages student employees as necessary to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in student activities or other related experience
  • Valid U.S. drivers license
