Position Overview:
The Food Service Manager oversees all aspects of food services with some assistance from a dietician for residents and day participants at Vanguard Landing including meal planning preparation ordering inventory and supervision ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and supporting residents individualized goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare menus in compliance with VGL nutritional standards for all meals.
- Purchase and manage food and kitchen supplies.
- Supervise food service staff residents and day participants in kitchen activities.
- Maintain inventory and kitchen cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Support Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) of our residents through culinary instruction and activities.
- Coordinate meal schedules special events and dietary needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures for equipment and hazardous materials
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher.
- Chef credentials from a recognized culinary school or similar.
- Minimum 2 years food service experience in a residential setting.
- Pass background checks TB screening and Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE).
