Job Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) to join the culinary team at Melbourne Museum.

This is a permanent role (Monday to Sunday roster working 5 days per week) in the Museums kitchen department. Be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality culinary experiences for visitors at one of Melbournes most iconic cultural institutions.

Your Role
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes consistently across all kitchen operations

  • Lead and manage your assigned kitchen section efficiently

  • Support the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety hygiene and quality

  • Assist in menu planning and adapting dishes as required

  • Participate in setup and breakdown of kitchen operations

  • Step up to assist in kitchen leadership when required

About You
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery

  • Minimum 2 years experience as CDP or equivalent in a high-volume or professional kitchen environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence

  • Thrives under pressure and brings energy and enthusiasm to service

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and maintain consistency during busy periods

  • Valid Australian working rights (citizenship residency or full working visa)
