Job Summary

Travel Med/Surg RN

(36 hours) 2 on call shifts in 4 weeks Rotational D/N/W/Holidays
Required: NYS RN Licensure Required
Certifications Required: BLS ACLS (AHA or RQI only) NIHSS

Job Functions:

Applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care.
Assesses patient / family needs through active listening social perceptiveness (being aware of others reactions and understanding why they react as they do) and analyzing data or information obtained through direct observation/assessment technology or health team communication.
Creates a developmentally and age appropriate culturally relevant individualized plan of care to address the nature and scope of the health problems identified.
In collaboration with the patient family physician and healthcare team members sets goals and monitors the patients progress.
The RN adjusts the plan based on patient response or change in condition/reprioritization of needs.
Promotes advocates for and protects the health safety and rights of the patient. Encourages and builds mutual trust respect and cooperation among team members to accomplish the best possible patient outcome.
Teaches others as appropriate and delegates tasks and interventions consistent with the individuals education training and scope of practice.
