Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: Las Vegas NV (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months;

Rate: $90/hr on W2

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive platform automation strategy that unifies multiple cloud environments into a seamless high-performing ecosystem.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure platform initiatives align with business goals and support growing application and user demands.
Drive consistency across cloud environments by developing and maintaining standardized integration frameworks and landing zone capabilities.
Manage orchestration tools to enhance application development workflows deployment processes and end-to-end lifecycle management.
Oversee and optimize platform resources to ensure high availability scalability and performance.
Implement best practices in cloud engineering container management and application integration to deliver secure and cost-efficient digital platforms.
Support and maintain infrastructure automation solutions leveraging modern DevOps methodologies.
Elevate the developer experience by streamlining workflows for faster and more reliable application delivery.
Monitor and uphold platform service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics to guarantee operational excellence.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance cultivating expertise in cloud and platform technologies across the team.

Education

Bachelors Degree (Required) Field: Computer Science Information Systems Software Engineering or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

5 Years of Relevant Experience (Required) Background in cloud engineering and automation emphasizing container orchestration middleware and application integration solutions.

Additional Requirements

Preferred:

Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud)
Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) certifications (Terraform CloudFormation)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).
Expertise in cloud services across IaaS PaaS and SaaS environments particularly within containerized ecosystems.
Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Familiar with CI/CD and automation platforms such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Proficient in scripting languages for automation (Python PowerShell Bash).
Strong grasp of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus AppDynamics DataDog).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to platform automation and container-based infrastructure.
Effective communicator capable of translating complex technical details for varied audiences.
Proven leadership and mentorship abilities within technical teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills suited to dynamic environments.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies in cloud and container orchestration.
