Job Description
Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Control Systems Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of industrial materials and components at their Leeds production facility.
The successful Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting plant maintenance diagnostics and improvement projects with a focus on electrical systems control panels and automation. This is a hands-on engineering role offering long-term development in a high-tech process-driven manufacturing environment.
Youll have a broad background in electrical engineering with experience in control systems 3-phase power VFDs and PLC-based systems. Knowledge of high-temperature processes or heavy industry would be advantageous.

Day shifts Monday to Friday
Call-out rota (shared across the engineering team)
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve faults on manufacturing plant and equipment
Assist with R&D projects to improve or re-engineer production processes
Contribute to continuous improvement and site development activities
Perform hands-on installation assembly and upgrade of electrical systems
Support both electrical and basic mechanical maintenance tasks
Requirements
Experience as an Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Controls Engineer or similar
Strong understanding of control panels PLCs motors VFDs 3-phase and single-phase systems
Apprentice trained with HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Strong analytical and fault-finding ability
Must be commutable to Leeds
